Laura's Food Products Corporation is seeking a Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities for raw ingredients, additives, and packaging materials in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.
The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, a degree in SCM/related fields, and strong Excel/ERP software skills. You will collaborate with warehouse and production teams to ensure timely deliveries and accurate documentation, while maintaining supplier performance records.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing: Process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and generate accurate Purchase Orders (POs) for raw ingredients, food additives, and packaging materials.
Delivery & Inventory Monitoring: Track open orders and monitor delivery schedules to ensure raw materials arrive on time and complete. Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to avoid stockouts or over-spoilage.
Invoice Verification: Match supplier delivery receipts, invoices, and purchase orders before forwarding documentation to the finance department for payment processing.
Reporting: Maintain up-to-date purchasing databases, inventory logs, and supplier performance tracking reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands‑on experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory control, preferably within a food manufacturing, commissary, or FMCG (Fast‑Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety standards (GMP, HACCP), basic inventory systems, and enterprise software (such as SAP or ERP tools).
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, tracking sheets, pivot tables).
Soft Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail to prevent costly specification or pricing errors.
