Job summary

GO FRESH SUPERMART seeks a Purchaser (Female) to join the Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory team in Ermita, Manila. The role covers sourcing, supplier negotiations, and PO processing to maintain optimal stock and quality at competitive prices.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in purchasing or procurement within retail, strong Excel skills, and a college degree. You will collaborate with logistics and store teams and support cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory management within the retail or supermarket sector (1 year minimum).
• College graduate (4 years) required.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and identifying reliable suppliers for various product categories including fresh produce, groceries, and merchandise.
• Negotiating contracts and pricing terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders in accordance with inventory requirements and demand forecasts.
• Managing supplier relationships and maintaining open communication channels to address procurement issues.
• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with warehouse and store management to optimise stock holdings.
• Conducting market research to identify new suppliers and product opportunities.
• Ensuring compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures and quality standards.
• Analysing purchase data and reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Liaising with logistics and delivery teams to ensure timely receipt of goods.

About the role

GO FRESH SUPERMART is seeking a Purchaser (Female) to join our Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory department. This is a full-time position based in Ermita, Manila City, Metro Manila. As a Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in the supply chain management of our supermarket operations, ensuring we maintain optimal inventory levels whilst securing the best quality products at competitive prices. This position is essential to supporting our retail operations and contributing to the overall success of GO FRESH SUPERMART.

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory management within the retail or supermarket sector alteast 1 year related experience

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities

• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Familiarity with cost analysis and budget management

• College graduate of 4 years
