Job summary

SM Development Corporation in Pasay, Philippines, seeks an Accountant to handle general accounting and financial reporting for assigned properties. The role requires attention to detail, integrity, and timely monthly close processes.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Accountancy; CPA is preferred, with 3–5 years of accounting experience and strong interpersonal and customer service skills. On-site, Monday–Friday, with regular site visits and tax/regulatory compliance duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy; CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in general accounting.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Experience in customer service is an advantage.
• Amenable to work in Pasay City, from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Regular site visits to assigned properties (at least weekly).
• Timely and accurate release of monthly statements of accounts.
• Implementation of collection policy and proper deposit of collections.
• Prepare monthly financial reports: Balance Sheet, P&L, AR aging, cash position and cash flow.
• Monthly preparation of bank reconciliations.
• 100% filing of BIR returns and other government requirements on time (ITR, VAT, withholding tax).
• Assist in preparation and review of the annual budget.
• Manage property expenses per procurement and disbursement process.
• Undertake special projects/tasks related to the position.
• Updated Audited Financial Statements.
