Trends Group, Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking a Project Manager to plan, execute, monitor, and close IT and telecom projects, ensuring they finish on time, within scope, and on budget.
The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and risk management to deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate has at least three years of PM experience, knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methods, and proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Smartsheet.
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects while ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The role requires strong leadership, financial management, stakeholder engagement, and risk management skills to deliver high-quality projects. The ideal candidate has at least three (3) years of project management experience in the Information Technology (IT) and/or Telecommunications industry. Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum are an advantage but are not mandatory.
Plan, execute, monitor, and close projects while ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and work schedules.
Manage project budgets, cost control, financial forecasting, and resource utilization.
Coordinate and communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
Manage subcontractors by monitoring contract compliance, performance, and deliverables.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Monitor project progress and provide regular status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Manage project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, risk registers, change requests, and project reports.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, project governance, and industry standards.
Coordinate project testing, implementation, deployment, and transition to operations.
Conduct project closeout activities, including post-project reviews and documentation of lessons learned.
Recommend and implement process improvements and project management best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Project Manager in the IT and/or Telecommunications industry.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid.
Experience in project budgeting, financial management, cost control, and forecasting.
Experience in subcontractor management, including contract negotiation, compliance monitoring, and performance evaluation.
Experience in system integration, network deployment, cloud services, or IT infrastructure projects is an advantage.
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar project management tools.
Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or ITIL are preferred but not required.
Experience working with telecommunications providers, system integrators, or enterprise IT solutions.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance, project governance, and industry standards.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining project quality and meeting deadlines.
