About the role
Join RAFI Microfinance Inc. as a Project Manager and take a key role in driving enterprise projects and strategic initiatives that shape how the organization performs, grows, and delivers sustainable social and business impact. You will lead projects from concept to completion, bringing together cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, navigating risks and dependencies, and ensuring that strategic initiatives are delivered with discipline and purpose.
Key responsibilities
- Lead assigned enterprise projects and strategic initiatives from planning and implementation through formal closure and handover.
- Define project scope, outcomes, milestones, delivery plans, acceptance criteria, and key decision points.
- Drive project execution while keeping scope, timeline, cost, quality, and resources on track.
- Lead cross-functional teams and establish clear ownership, deliverables, decision rights, and interdependencies.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, resources, vendors, project financials, and change impacts.
- Establish effective project governance and provide senior leaders with clear project status, options, trade-offs, decisions required, and recovery recommendations.
- Partner with business owners, Technology, and enabling functions to resolve constraints and maintain alignment.
- Lead business readiness, implementation, cutover, adoption, lessons learned, and operational handover.
- Support enterprise portfolio governance, including project prioritization, sequencing, capacity assessment, and executive reporting.
- Coach and develop the Project Specialist while progressively building project ownership and capability within the team.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-8+ years of demonstrated end-to-end project delivery experience, particularly in complex and cross-functional projects.
- Strong knowledge of project scope, schedule, cost, resources, risk and issue management, dependencies, change control, implementation, and benefits handover.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and decision-making skills.
- Strategic mindset - you see the bigger picture and understand how projects contribute to organizational goals.
