DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Governance Management:
- o Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that align with industry standards (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) and organizational objectives.
- o Monitor and report on compliance with governance policies, identifying and addressing any risks or issues.
2. PMO Leadership:
- o Establish and lead the Project Management Office, providing governance, standards, and oversight for all IT projects.
- o Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies, tools, and practices to ensure consistent delivery of projects.
- o Oversee the portfolio of IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, effective resource allocation, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
3. Risk and Compliance Management:
- o Identify, assess, and manage risks related to IT projects and governance practices.
- o Ensure that risk management strategies are in place and that risks are properly mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.
- o Conduct regular audits and reviews of IT governance processes to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- o Act as the primary point of contact for IT governance and project management matters, liaising between IT, business units, and senior leadership.
- o Provide regular reports on the status of IT projects, governance issues, and risk management to senior management.
- o Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and executive sponsors to ensure alignment on project goals and governance requirements.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- o Monitor the performance of the PMO and governance practices, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- o Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies in IT governance and project management.
- o Implement changes to governance frameworks and project management processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
- o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and governance professionals.
- o Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- o Ensure that the team is equipped with the necessary skills, tools, and knowledge to execute their roles effectively.
