Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with COBIT/ITIL and organizational goals.
• Monitor and report on governance policy compliance, identifying and addressing risks or issues.
• Establish and lead the PMO, providing governance, standards, and oversight for all IT projects.
• Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies, tools, and practices for consistent delivery.
• Oversee the IT project portfolio, ensuring alignment with priorities, resource allocation, and budgets.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks related to IT projects and governance practices; mitigate risks throughout the lifecycle.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of IT governance processes for ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
• Act as primary liaison for IT governance and project management, reporting to senior leadership; facilitate alignment with stakeholders.

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Governance Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that align with industry standards (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) and organizational objectives.
• Monitor and report on compliance with governance policies, identifying and addressing any risks or issues.

2. PMO Leadership:

• Establish and lead the Project Management Office, providing governance, standards, and oversight for all IT projects.
• Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies, tools, and practices to ensure consistent delivery of projects.
• Oversee the portfolio of IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, effective resource allocation, and adherence to timelines and budgets.

3. Risk and Compliance Management:

• Identify, assess, and manage risks related to IT projects and governance practices.
• Ensure that risk management strategies are in place and that risks are properly mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of IT governance processes to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for IT governance and project management matters, liaising between IT, business units, and senior leadership.
• Provide regular reports on the status of IT projects, governance issues, and risk management to senior management.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and executive sponsors to ensure alignment on project goals and governance requirements.

5. Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor the performance of the PMO and governance practices, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies in IT governance and project management.
• Implement changes to governance frameworks and project management processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.

6. Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and governance professionals.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
• Ensure that the team is equipped with the necessary skills, tools, and knowledge to execute their roles effectively.
