Job summary

BAYES is seeking a Site Engineer to lead on-site activities, coordinate stakeholders, and prepare schedules and submission documents. You will review engineering drawings and perform basic calculations while ensuring safety systems are followed and progress is tracked on site.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering qualification with at least 2 years in construction or industrial engineering; candidates with no prior experience will also be considered. This position is on-site and fast-paced.

Responsibilities

About the role

This role involves site preparation and coordination, preparation of submission documents, and management of various project stakeholders including customers, consultants, sub-contractors, and vendors on site to ensure project requirements are met. You will prepare and create detailed work schedules, manpower and resource planning, coordinate the safety management system on site, and follow up on project progress reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Site preparation and co-ordination, preparation of submission documents
• Coordinate, liaise and manage various project stakeholders including customers, consultants, sub-contractors, vendors, etc. on site to ensure project requirements are met
• Communicate effectively to all stakeholders
• Prepare and create detail work schedule, manpower and resource planning
• Understand Engineering drawings and perform basic engineering calculations, design, etc.
• Coordinate the safety management system on site
• Follow up and reporting on the project progress
• Understand Singapore standards or Code of Practice
• Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by reporting manager

About you

• Relevant Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the Construction / Industrial Engineering industry (preferred for experienced candidates)
• Open to candidates with no previous working experience
• Experience in design ACMV / Piping and Piping Structural Support / Ducting
• Experience in manufacturing plant construction, Data Centre fit-out works, etc.
• Outgoing with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and target oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to interact effectively with project members and managers at all levels
