Job summary

Bayes Recruitment Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior M&E Coordinator (Site) to assist the M&E Manager in planning and coordinating M&E works on site, responsible for planning, programming, quality control, procurement management, and safety compliance across mechanical and electrical construction projects.

You will lead on-site activities, monitor shop drawings, RFAs/RFIs, submissions, and equipment deliveries to ensure on-time completion, while managing testing and commissioning schedules and cost

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' engineering experience.
• At least 3 years coordinating and managing construction works/teams.
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical & electrical trades.
• Excellent knowledge of local M&E codes/regulations.
• Excellent time management with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships.
• Ability to lead M&E staff and provide supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist M&E Manager in planning, programming and monitoring process of M&E works.
• Control progress of RFAs, RFIs, shop drawings, technical submissions and procurement.
• Oversee on-site progress and installation quality per drawings and schedules.
• Appraise works/products for compliance and provide recommendations.
• Assist schedule for inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
• Develop detailed testing and commissioning activity schedules.
• Carry out M&E technical meetings and resolve issues with records.
• Check and verify M&E coordination drawings and service drawings quality.
• Manage design change requests, report time/cost implications.
• Handle variation order cost collection and VO price recommendations.

About the role

The Senior M&E Coordinator (Site) assists the M&E Manager in planning and coordinating specific M&E works on site, responsible for planning, programming, quality control, procurement management, and safety compliance across mechanical and electrical construction works.

Key responsibilities

• Assist M&E Manager on the preparation of planning, programming and monitoring process of M&E works and provide specific detail plan/program as per M&E Manager's instruction
• Control the progress of RFA, RFI, Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Status for on-time completion
• Control site progress and installation quality as per approved Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Schedule
• Appraisal for works/products compliance to specifications/requirements and selection recommendation
• Assist establishment of Authority Inspections Schedule and Testing & Commissioning Activities Schedule including Factory Tests, Individual System Test, Integrated System Test, RI etc
• Develop the details of Testing & Commissioning Activities Schedule including Factory Tests, Individual System Test, Integrated System Test, RI etc
• Responsible for carrying out M&E technical meetings and resolving technical issues with record
• Check and verify M&E coordination drawings and individual service drawings quality
• Control and monitor design change requests raised by client and consultants, record changes, report to PD/PM, and notify time and cost implications
• Responsible for variation order cost collection, cost verification of the VO works and make necessary recommendation of VO prices

About you

• Minimum 8 years' engineering experience, at least 3 years' experience in planning, coordinating and managing construction works / teams for large scale projects
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical & electrical trades
• Strong M&E works site installation knowledge with the ability to provide practical solution related with site installation
• Strong Local Code/Regulation Knowledge pertaining to M&E services, building construction and safety
• Strong time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage particular tasks put in his charge
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly and propose counter measures to settle the issues
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to influence various stakeholders and build long term relationships
• Ability to lead subordinate M&E staffs and provide supervisions/instructions to staff
