Houston Hydrotech Product & System, Inc. is seeking a project engineer to plan, supervise, and monitor daily construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities on site.
You will review drawings and specs, prepare schedules, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure quality and safety. The role requires a Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or Sanitary engineering degree (PRC license preferred) and experience in project implementation and site supervision.
Plan, supervise, and monitor daily construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Review drawings, technical specifications, quantities, and project requirements before implementation.
Prepare work schedules, manpower plans, material requests, and equipment requirements.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities.
Monitor project progress and address delays, site concerns, and technical issues.
Inspect completed work and ensure compliance with approved plans and quality standards.
Monitor material deliveries, usage, and inventory to prevent shortages and unnecessary waste.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, accomplishment reports, and supporting documentation for project billing.
Document proposed changes and additional work, and obtain approval before implementation.
Enforce site safety rules and promptly report incidents and unsafe conditions.
Coordinate testing and commissioning and resolve outstanding work or punch-list items.
Prepare as-built drawings, turnover documents, operating manuals, and other project completion requirements.
Maintain accurate site records, including attendance, instructions, inspections, and material requests.
Perform other project-related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Sanitary Engineering, or a related engineering field appropriate to the project.
PRC license preferred.
Experience in project implementation, site supervision, or construction is an advantage.
Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of project scheduling, quality control, and site safety.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of scheduling software is an advantage.
Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Willing to travel and work at assigned project sites.
