Job Summary
The Projects Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring construction, renovation, expansion, engineering, and other special projects of the company. The position ensures that projects are completed according to approved plans, specifications, budget, quality standards, and timelines.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor construction, renovation, expansion, and engineering projects.
Review project plans, drawings, specifications, scope of work, and technical documents before implementation.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, architects, engineers, and internal departments.
Conduct site inspections to ensure that work is performed according to approved plans and specifications.
Monitor project progress, schedule, manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
Review and validate contractor quotations, billings, progress reports, accomplishment reports, and variation orders.
Ensure that project costs remain within the approved budget.
Identify potential project risks, delays, technical issues, and cost overruns and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Ensure that contractors comply with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
Verify completed works before recommending acceptance, turnover, or payment.
Prepare project status reports, technical reports, inspection reports, and other project documentation.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, punch listing, rectification, and project turnover.
Monitor defects and deficiencies during the project and warranty period and coordinate necessary corrective actions.
Maintain complete project records, including drawings, contracts, permits, warranties, certificates, and completion documents.
Assist in the preparation of project budgets, technical specifications, scope of work, and bidding documents.
Evaluate proposed engineering solutions and recommend cost-effective and technically appropriate alternatives.
Ensure that all necessary permits, approvals, and regulatory requirements are secured.
Conduct post-project evaluation and document lessons learned for future projects.
Perform other engineering and special project assignments as may be directed by management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field.
Preferably a Licensed/Registered Engineer.
At least 5 years of experience in construction, project management, facilities, engineering, or related work.
Experience in handling contractors and construction projects is highly preferred.
Knowledge of construction plans, specifications, quantity estimates, project costing, and project scheduling.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably AutoCAD and project management software.
Strong analytical, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Willing to conduct regular site inspections and travel to project locations when necessary.
