Job summary

Microgenesis Business Systems is seeking a qualified Project Engineer to coordinate and oversee the engineering deployment of building auxiliary systems, data center infrastructure, and security installations in Mandaluyong.

You will collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure safety, quality, and on-schedule delivery, while supporting budgeting, reporting, and documentation in English and Filipino.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in building auxiliary systems installations, engineering and maintenance.
• Understanding of building plans (electrical, electronics, mechanical).
• Experience in project implementation and budgeting contexts.
• Ability to compose and present reports to management.

Responsibilities

• Support on installation of Data center infrastructure (racks, PDUs, UPS systems) and structured cabling.
• Oversees installation, electrical roughing-ins, and wiring with subcontractors to meet codes.
• Facilitates joint inspections with client and contractors for testing and handover.
• Ensures safety of project team and site during implementation.
• Attends to service and maintenance calls and follow-ups.
• Troubleshoots and recommends equipment/service upgrades.
• Coordinates maintenance with outside contractors when needed.
• Monitors material management, stock, and inventory control per site.
• Assists in planning and controlling project budgets.

About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager for Project Operations, the position coordinates and oversees the project engineering implementation of the company; conducts project implementation support in the configuration and programming works of Security, Building Auxiliaries, and Data Center Servers and supervision of subcontractors, coordination with project proponents and support of maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support on Installation of Data center infrastructure (racks, PDUs, UPS support systems) - Structured cabling (copper & fiber) - CCTV, access control, and security systems - AV and auxiliary systems

• Oversees the installation, electrical roughing-ins, and wiring works, and assures all works by the nominated subcontractors and assures that all works complies with acceptable engineering standards and codes

• Facilitates the joint inspections with the client, third-party project proponents, general contractors, construction management teams, to assure successful testing and commissioning and project handover

• Ensures the safety of the project team, subcontractors, and in-house technicians during the project implementation on official business hours

• Attends to service and maintenance calls and follow-up upon completion

• Troubleshoots, evaluates and recommends equipment/service upgrades

• Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors and technicians when work cannot be performed in-house

• Monitors and responsible for material management per project site, and maintains stock and inventory control

• Works with Management in planning and controlling project budgets on per project basis

• Coordinates with sales and engineering design team on every progress of the project to assure support from all stakeholders

About you

• Licensed Electrical Engineer or Electronics and Communications Engineer or B.S. Information Technology

• At least three (3) years of experience in building auxiliary systems installations, engineering & equipment and systems maintenance

• Knowledgeable in understanding building plans (electrical, electronics, and mechanical)

• Strong programming capabilities and project implementation background

• Knowledgeable with MS SQL and other database software, Server software, HikCentral Professional, CAD and MS Project or any related project management software

• Proficient in both verbal and written communication skills (English & Filipino)

• Ability to compose and present reports to all levels of management
