Job summary

G2 Travel in Pasig, Philippines, seeks a Finance Analyst to support reporting and profitability analysis for tours and bookings. You will extract, check and consolidate data from multiple sources, create reports and communicate results in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Extract, check and adjust data from systems and trackers.
• Create allocated reports and present results clearly.
• Monitor and review tour/bookings profit and compare to expectations.
• Explain profit/loss situations for tours/series/bookings.
• Develop ad-hoc reports as needed.
• Automate data prep and report creation where possible.
• Escalate errors to relevant departments for correction.

The Department

Finance is where the money is, so the department sits at the very heart of our business.

Our Finance team is based in Bucharest (Romania) but has representatives based around the world, particularly in Asia which is a major market for us.

Building strong and successful relationships with our clients ensures that we are able to maximise our ability to collect money that they owe us.

The Role

Fulfilment of the job’s specific tasks and of other requirements received from the direct superior in order to make sure that the team’s activity is completed correctly and within the set deadlines.

Duties include:

• Extract, check and adjust where necessary data from the operational and financial systems or from different trackers or reports;
• Create the allocated reports and communicate the results in written and verbal form;
• Monitor and review the actual profit of each tour or booking, as well as compare it with the expected profit;
• Explain the actual profit or loss situations for each tour, series or booking;
• Develop ad-hoc reports as necessary;
• Automate data preparation and report creation where possible;
• Raise to the relevant departments any errors found in the checking process.

The Requirements

• You’ll need to be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels over a variety of channels;
• Previous experience in the travel industry will be considered as a valuable asset but is not essential;
• Fluency in English is required;
• Customer orientated approach;
• Flexibility in terms of working hours, changes and challenges;
• Team player;
• Strong focus on getting the job done;
• Determination to get things right first time every time;
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills;
• Strong attention to detail.
