Job summary

SMC - INTEGRATED FARM SPECIALISTS INC. is seeking a Production Team Leader to plan, lead, organize and control basic and further processing operations. The role ensures production orders meet quality, safety and customer specifications, and oversees corrective actions to maintain standards.

The candidate should have a 4- or 5-year engineering-related degree, be computer-literate, and bring at least 2 years of experience in the food industry, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4 or 5-year course (Engineering or equivalent).
• Computer literate (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint) with experience in a similar role.
• At least 2 years’ relative experience in the food industry.
• Knowledge in Quality and Food Safety Management System, GMP, SSOP, HACCP, Corporate Environmental, Safety and Health Policy and Preventive Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Customer Product Standards and Specifications are strictly implemented in the operation.
• Performs pre-ops, in-process and post-ops daily monitoring and corrective actions for deviations.
• Monitors room temperature, product internal temperature, chlorine concentration, and foreign objects.
• Ensures GMP, SSOP, HACCP and Quality and Food Safety System are implemented.
• Maintains orderliness, cleanliness and sanitation of production facilities and related plants.
• Demonstrates health and safety commitment and adherence to company rules.
• Undertakes special projects or studies as requested by San Miguel Foods Inc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Production Team Leader plans, leads, organizes and controls the Basic and Further Processing Operations. Ensures Production Orders are served and in conformance with San Miguel Foods Inc (SMFI's) Quality and Food Safety Management System Standard and/or Customer's Product Specification and Standards. Ensures 100% Production Order's serviceability subject to operational concerns such as but not limited to Manpower availability; Small tools, equipment, and machine trouble; Raw material (live and dressed weights) and packaging material supply constraints.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of any 4 or 5-year course (Engineering or equivalent)
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint) B. Experience (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position).
• Have at least 2 years’ relative experience in a food industry.
• Knowledge in Quality and Food Safety Management System, GMP, SSOP, HACCP, Corporate Environmental, Safety and Health Policy and Preventive Maintenance.
• Good Communication skills both oral and written.
• Excellent leadership and inter-personal skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures the Customer Product Standards and Specifications are strictly implemented in the operation.

• Accomplishes the Basic/ Further/ Blast and Warehouse Operation's Pre-Ops ,In-process and Post Operations Daily Monitoring Forms needed for Production and makes corrective action for any deviations identified such as but not limited to:
• Room Temperature (such as Lairage, Processing Rooms)
• Product Internal Temperature
• Chlorine concentration
• Foreign object
• Ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure and Quality and Food Safety System are implemented throughout the operation.
• Ensure orderliness, cleanliness and sanitation of Production facilities and its auxiliary facilities such Waste Water Treatment and Rendering Plants.
• Demonstrates a high concern for the health and safety of self and others.
• Demonstrates commitment to Company Rules and Regulations.
• Undertakes special projects or technical studies as requested by San Miguel Foods Inc.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of company goal or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
