Job summary

Candidate should bring engineering education, at least two years in the food industry, and strong communication and leadership skills for effective team management and compliance with GMP/SSOP/HACCP policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4- or 5-year engineering course or equivalent.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• At least 2 years of related experience in the food industry.
• Knowledge of Quality and Food Safety Management System (GMP, SSOP, HACCP) and safety policies.
• Good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Customer Product Standards and Specifications are strictly implemented in the operation.
• Completes pre-ops, in-process and post-ops monitoring forms and takes corrective actions as needed.
• Maintains Good Manufacturing Practices, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and Quality/ Food Safety Systems.
• Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of production facilities and related areas.
• Upholds health and safety policies and company rules; supports special projects as assigned.

SMC-IFSI is engaged in the management, operation, and maintenance of farms, hatcheries, slaughterhouses, fishpond, storage and various facilities and equipment for breeding, hatching, raising, growing, production, slaughter and / or processing of poultry. Fowls, hogs, livestock and other kinds of animals and foodstuffs and other activities allied or incidental thereto such as but not limited to animal feeds, nutrition and healthcare.

Production Supervisor - Mandaue, Cebu

JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Supervisor plans, leads, organizes and controls the Basic and Further Processing Operations. Ensures Production Orders are served and in conformance with San Miguel Foods Inc (SMFI’s) Quality and Food Safety Management System Standard and/or Customer’s Product Specification and Standards. Ensures 100% Production Order’s serviceability subject to operational concerns such as but not limited to Manpower availability; Small tools, equipment, and machine trouble; Raw material (live and dressed weights) and packaging material supply constraints.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of any 4 or 5-year course (Engineering or equivalent)
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint) B. Experience (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position).
• Have at least 2 years’ relative experience in a food industry.
• Knowledge in Quality and Food Safety Management System, GMP, SSOP, HACCP, Corporate Environmental, Safety and Health Policy and Preventive Maintenance.
• Good Communication skills both oral and written.
• Excellent leadership and inter-personal skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures the Customer Product Standards and Specifications are strictly implemented in the operation.

• Accomplishes the Basic/ Further/ Blast and Warehouse Operation’s Pre-Ops ,In-process and Post Operations Daily Monitoring Forms needed for Production and makes corrective action for any deviations identified such as but not limited to:
• Room Temperature (such as Lairage, Processing Rooms)
• Product Internal Temperature
• Chlorine concentration
• Foreign object
• Ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure and Quality and Food Safety System are implemented throughout the operation.
• Ensure orderliness, cleanliness and sanitation of Production facilities and its auxiliary facilities such Waste Water Treatment and Rendering Plants.
• Demonstrates a high concern for the health and safety of self and others.
• Demonstrates commitment to Company Rules and Regulations.
• Undertakes special projects or technical studies as requested by San Miguel Foods Inc.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of company goal or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
