Job summary

JJ Grand Premium Fruits is seeking a production supervisor to oversee daily operations in a banana chip and fruit processing facility. You will manage the production team, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and coordinate with QA/QC and maintenance to maintain smooth operations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with GMP/HACCP and food safety standards. Willingness to work shifting schedules and holidays is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
• Experience supervising production, preferably in food manufacturing/processing environments.
• Experience with banana chips, snacks, processed fruits, or similar operations is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, workflow, manpower planning, and productivity monitoring.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, food safety, and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production operations to meet targets, safely and on time.
• Monitor processes, manpower, equipment, and workflow for smooth operations.
• Assign tasks and manage production personnel per requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety and QA standards.
• Coordinate with QA/QC on quality issues and corrective actions.
• Oversee handling, processing, packaging, and storage of products.
• Monitor output, downtime, material usage, and efficiency.
• Identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Maintenance on breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare production reports and required documentation.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and PPE usage.
• Train and motivate staff to improve performance and discipline.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and food safety requirements.
• Perform additional production-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Role / Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee daily production operations to ensure efficient, safe, and timely completion of production targets.

• Monitor production processes, manpower, equipment, and workflow to maintain smooth operations.

• Assign tasks and manage production personnel according to production requirements.

• Ensure that production activities comply with company policies, SOPs, GMP, food safety, and quality standards.

• Monitor product quality and coordinate with the QA/QC team regarding quality issues and corrective actions.

• Ensure proper handling, processing, packaging, and storage of products.

• Monitor production output, downtime, material usage, and production efficiency.

• Identify operational problems and implement appropriate corrective actions.

• Coordinate with Maintenance regarding machine breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and equipment concerns.

• Prepare and maintain production reports, records, and other required documentation.

• Conduct regular monitoring of workplace cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and proper use of PPE.

• Train, coach, and motivate production personnel to improve performance, productivity, and work discipline.

• Ensure compliance with food safety, occupational safety, and company standards.

• Perform other production-related duties as may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.

• With experience in production supervision, preferably in a food manufacturing or food processing environment.

• Experience in banana chips, snacks, processed fruits, or similar food manufacturing operations is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of production processes, workflow, manpower planning, and productivity monitoring.

• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, food safety, and quality management systems is an advantage.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to manage and supervise a production team effectively.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, or holidays when required.

• Willing to work in Binugao, Toril, Davao City, or in Digos City, Davao del Sur.

• Preferably with at least 2–3 years of relevant supervisory experience in manufacturing or production operations.
