AMTRAK MACHINERIES & EQUIPMENT OPC is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the inspection, conditioning, repair, and preparation of newly arrived trucks and heavy equipment. You will ensure that all Job Orders are properly executed, monitor production staff, and guarantee devices are completed to company standards and timelines.
You will assign tasks to mechanics, auto electricians, painters, and other staff, track progress, and conduct final checks before release or deployment.
Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the inspection, conditioning, repair, and preparation of newly arrived trucks and heavy equipment.
Ensures proper execution of all approved Job Orders (JOs), monitors production staff, and ensures that units are completed according to required quality and schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect and assess the condition of newly arrived trucks, heavy equipment, and machinery.
Conduct initial checking of the unit’s mechanical, electrical, body, and overall condition.
Prepare and monitor the conditioning and repair requirements of newly arrived units.
Review and ensure proper execution of every approved Job Order (JO).
Monitor the progress, quality, and completion of ongoing repair and conditioning works.
Assign and coordinate tasks among mechanics, auto electricians, painters, detailers, and other production staff.
Closely monitor the attendance, productivity, work quality, and performance of production personnel.
Ensure that all repairs and conditioning activities are completed based on approved job orders and company standards.
Conduct final checking and inspection of units before release, turnover, or deployment.
Identify additional repair requirements or issues and coordinate them with the concerned department for proper approval.
Monitor the proper use of tools, equipment, spare parts, and materials during production activities.
Coordinate with Parts, Service, Sales, and other departments regarding unit requirements and job order concerns.
Ensure that production personnel follow proper safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area.
Prepare and submit production, unit inspection, and job order status reports as required.
Recommend solutions and improvements to ensure efficient unit conditioning and production operations.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications:
With proven experience as a Production Supervisor, Service Supervisor, Workshop Supervisor, or similar position in the trucks, heavy equipment, automotive, or machinery industry.
With experience in handling and monitoring the repair, conditioning, and preparation of trucks and heavy equipment.
Knowledgeable in basic automotive and mechanical systems.
Able to inspect and identify common mechanical, electrical, and operational concerns of trucks and heavy equipment.
With strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes.
With experience in monitoring and executing approved Job Orders.
With strong leadership and manpower management skills.
Must know how to drive trucks and/or heavy equipment.
Must have a valid driver's license appropriate for the units being handled.
Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Willing to work hands-on and supervise production activities on-site.
