AMTRAK MACHINERIES & EQUIPMENT OPC seeks a Senior Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and heavy equipment. You will lead junior technicians, ensure quality workmanship, and support aftersales service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks and heavy-duty vehicles, forklifts, light duty trucks and heavy equipment in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards. The role involves leading junior technicians, ensuring quality workmanship, and supporting aftersales service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform advanced diagnostics, engine troubleshooting, hydraulic system troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting, aircon troubleshooting and repair of truck and heavy equipment systems (engine system, aircon system, transmission system, electrical system, suspension system).
Conduct preventive maintenance services and major repairs.
Conduct on-site diagnostics (field service) maintenance, and repairs of heavy trucks and equipmentequipments.
Utilize diagnostic tools and software specific to truck brands.
Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Willingness to travel to remote branches.
Inspect and verify completed work of mechanics and technicians.
Ensure jobs are completed right the first time to minimize repeat repairs.
Conduct final inspection prior to vehicle release.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior mechanics and apprentices.
Assist in training staff on new technologies and repair procedures.
Support the Service Supervisor in workflow distribution and shop productivity.
Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding job requirements and timelines.
Provide accurate labor estimates and parts requirements.
Assist in achieving service KPIs (turnaround time, productivity, efficiency).
Properly document diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
Prepare job reports and service documentation.
Ensure compliance with warranty procedures and reporting standards.
Follow occupational safety standards and dealership policies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area (5S standards).
Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and company assets.
