We are looking for a skilled and reliable Auto/Truck Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company trucks to ensure they are safe, roadworthy, and operating efficiently. The ideal applicant should have strong mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting safety standards.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on company trucks and heavy vehicles
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues
Repair and replace defective engine components, transmissions, clutches, brakes, suspension, steering, and other truck parts
Conduct engine tune-ups, oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services
Perform troubleshooting using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems
Ensure all repairs comply with company safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Conduct pre-trip and post-repair inspections to verify vehicle roadworthiness
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for all serviced vehicles
Coordinate with supervisors regarding vehicle conditions, required repairs, and parts replacement
Monitor and report parts inventory requirements and recommend necessary spare parts
High school graduate, vocational graduate, or equivalent; NC II in Automotive Servicing or Diesel Engine Servicing is an advantage
At least 1-2 years of experience as a Truck Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or related position
Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems efficiently
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and repair procedures
Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment
Can read and interpret technical manuals and repair documentation
Willing to render overtime or perform emergency repairs when required
Possesses a valid driver's license (Professional License is an advantage)
Able to work with minimal supervision
