LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. in Metro Manila is seeking a Production Planner to organize and monitor production schedules, aligning customer orders with capacity, materials, and deadlines.
You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Purchasing, and QC to ensure timely outputs. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, with at least 2 years in planning, familiarity with shop-floor operations, and strong Excel skills.
The Production Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities to ensure that production schedules are achieved efficiently and on time. The role involves analyzing production requirements, coordinating with different departments, and maintaining accurate production data and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain production plans and schedules based on customer orders, production capacity, manpower, materials, and deadlines.
Monitor daily production activities and ensure that schedules are followed and completed on time.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, Purchasing, QC, and other concerned departments regarding production requirements.
Analyze production requirements and identify potential delays, shortages, or scheduling conflicts.
Adjust production schedules as necessary based on changes in priorities, materials availability, manpower, or production capacity.
Monitor production progress and provide regular updates and reports to management.
Maintain accurate production planning records, schedules, and other related documentation.
Use Excel and other planning tools to analyze data, track production status, and prepare reports.
Assist in improving production planning processes and ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; preferably a licensed/graduate Industrial Engineer.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing, or a related role is preferred.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment with shop-floor operations is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, PivotTables, and other spreadsheet functions.
Knowledge of CAD or related technical software is an advantage.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented, systematic, and able to work accurately with large amounts of data.
Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Willing to work in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment and coordinate with different departments.
Fresh graduates with relevant internship/OJT experience may be considered.
