Australia Farm Innovations (AFI) is seeking an Assistant Production Planner to support the Production Planning team with preparing, processing, and documenting Job Cards and related transactions in ERP. You will coordinate with Production and Warehouse, maintaining records in Excel and ensuring timely flow of information and materials.

The Assistant Production Planner provides administrative and operational support to the Production Planning team by assisting in the preparation, processing, monitoring, and documentation of Job Cards and production-related transactions. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate production records, updating ERP transactions, processing Stock Transfers, monitoring production progress, and coordinating with Production, Warehouse, and other relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate flow of information and materials. The position also supports data reconciliation, reporting, and other planning-related administrative activities to help ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
Assistant Production Planner - Job Description
Process Job Cards from draft preparation through planning and release for production.
Review completed Job Cards and update the corresponding transactions in the ERP system.
Scan completed Job Cards and attach digital copies to the appropriate ERP records for proper documentation and traceability.
Monitor and track Job Card status and movement from preparation through completion.
Maintain and update Excel/spreadsheet trackers for Job Card status, production progress, and completed transactions.
Ensure production records and Job Card information are accurate, complete, and properly documented.
Create Stock Transfer transactions for completed products moving from Production to the Warehouse for delivery.
Process Stock Transfers for production raw material requests and other authorized material movements, including office-use requirements.
Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and other relevant departments regarding Job Cards, material requests, Stock Transfers, and documentation.
Perform accurate and timely data entry in the ERP system, Excel, and other company records.
Maintain organized electronic and physical production records and documentation.
Assist in the reconciliation and verification of production-related data and documents.
Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Production Planning team.
Perform other related duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
Preferably with 1-2 years in production planning, manufacturing, inventory, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related administrative role. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered.
Working knowledge of ERP systems, production management systems, or inventory management systems is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, data organization, sorting, filtering, and spreadsheet tracking.
Strong data entry and documentation skills, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
Good understanding of production processes, inventory movement, material requests, and basic production documentation is preferred.
Able to accurately process and maintain a high volume of records and transactions.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good communication and coordination skills, particularly when dealing with Production, Warehouse, and other departments.
Ability to identify discrepancies in records and assist in the verification and reconciliation of production-related data.
Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment.
