Job summary

Prifood Corporation in Davao City seeks a Production Manager to plan, organize and control production processes, ensuring on-time delivery within budget while upholding quality and safety standards.

You will lead a high-performing team, implement SOPs, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement aligned with ISO, GMP and HACCP practices. This role reports to the Operations Head and requires a business degree plus 5+ years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• College degree in business administration or its equivalent.
• Industry relevant manufacturing experience minimum of 5 years.
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.

Job Purpose:

The position is responsible for planning, organizing and control production processes by ensuring that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and shall have command responsibility over each section with respect to Productivity, Quality, Machine Uptime, Inventory, Costs including On-line & Off-line Documentation requirements

Reports to:

Job Responsibilities

• Plan a production schedule for the job. Implement and control the production schedule.
• Determine material resources required and ensure its availability before actual production.
• Responsible and accountable in ensuring that processing and packaging machinery operate efficiently within the framework of quality and cost - effectiveness.
• Set and monitor quality standards of products, work out, implement standard operating procedures for production operations and ensure the same are adhered to.
• Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
• Manage, coach and develop a high performing Production Team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
• Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve production operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement of process and procedure to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery and in line with Company and Consumer requirements.
• Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of personnel and visitors.
• Consistently enforce ISO approved process flow and procedures and standards to maximize production performance and minimize quality complaint.
• Monitor the completion of tasks, review good performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
• Set department objectives/KPIs, ensure awareness of each employee, review and assess on-going performance of direct reports.
• Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required.
• Enhances organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different request; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
