Job summary

Terumo (Philippines) Corporation is seeking a Training Specialist to develop and implement manufacturing training programs, including onboarding and certifications. You will deliver instructor-led and hands-on sessions on production processes, SOPs, and equipment, while establishing standards and qualification frameworks aligned with QMS.

You will collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Manufacturing to identify needs, develop materials, and maintain compliant training records for audit purposes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, instructional design, or a related technical field.
• 2-4 years of experience in technical process training in a manufacturing setting.
• Exposure to production processes, cleanroom operations, and technical equipment is a plus.
• Ability to transfer tacit knowledge through hands-on demonstrations and coaching.
• Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

Brief Statement of Duties/Work to be performed

• Develop and implement training programs for manufacturing personnel, including onboarding, certification, continuous skills development and other technical-related training.

• Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training on production processes, equipment, and standard operating procedures (SOP).

• Establish and maintain training standards, methodologies, and qualification frameworks aligned with QMS and company requirements.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Management teams to identify training needs, competency requirements, performance gaps, and training requirements related to new or modified processes, equipment, and technologies.

• Develop advanced training materials based on SOPs, technical documents, equipment manuals, and process risk assessments.

• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date training records and documentation in compliance with audit and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, instructional design, or a related technical field.

• 2 -4 years of experience in technical process training

• Experience in manufacturing environment including exposure to production processes, cleanroom operations, and technical equipment is an advantage

• Experienced in machine operation within a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of machine elements and mechanical systems.

• Understanding of industrial equipment operation including its basic systems and components.

• Ability to transfer tacit knowledge through hands-on demonstrations, coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training.

• Capable of teaching with good presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.

• Patient, approachable, and effective in coaching beginners and new operators.

• Able to develop and deliver training materials, demonstrations, and hands-on learning sessions.

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) is an advantage.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
