Delicatesse Food Corporation in Metro Manila seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure facilities, utilities and equipment stay in optimal condition to prevent production delays. The role covers planning maintenance schedules, calibration, parts management, and hands-on machine support for the next shift.
The candidate should have a BS in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics, 2+ years in electrical maintenance (food manufacturing preferred), and a license (EE/RME) is advantageous.
Ensure that plant facilities, utilities, and equipment are always in good order and condition to avoid delays in delivery of customer requirement.
Check availability of resources (manpower, materials & supplies, equipment) needed to support the Preventive Maintenance Plan.
Prepare monthly maintenance schedules and ensure this is followed/implemented.
Implement regular equipment calibration program.
Provide technical assistance to ensure machines are properly set-up for the next production run or shift.
Ensure that on-the-spot minor & major machine abnormality are corrected (immediate "correction") and corrective action that will prevent recurrence of the defect is applied and verified.
Establish and implement inventory control of machine spare parts, assembly, and other Engineering tools and supplies.
Request, evaluate, and receive deliveries of machine parts for verification and validation.
Supervise installation and troubleshooting of: A. air-conditioning unit B. Electrical equipment.
Provide Engineering Head with timely information on engineering related issues and appropriate action taken to resolve maintenance related problems.
Update and evaluate the historical maintenance records of machines, equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
Liaise with government agencies to secure required permits and licenses for the operation of the factory and its equipment & machineries.
Keep work area clean and orderly by observing cGMP and strictly following safety policies, company rules and regulation.
Perform related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Implement company policies and employee health and safety regulations.
Initiate or suggest plans that can motivate subordinates to achieve work goals.
Educate and direct personnel in the use of all equipment, resources and QC tools (for continual improvement).
Coach, counsel and discipline personnel.
Interfaces with other Departments and internal Trainer in matters related to training of new and existing personnel.
Evaluate work performance of personnel under his/her direct supervision.
BS in Electrical Engineering / Technology or Electromechanics.
A bachelor's degree is the minimum educational requirement for this position.
At least 2 years industry experience in Electrical Maintenance, preferably with experience in Food Manufacturing but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Preferably licensed EE/RME.
