Job summary

BSB Junrose in Manila is seeking a Mechanical Engineering professional to lead the Product Development (PD) unit, conducting market research, handling technical inquiries, and coordinating trainings for customers and internal teams.

You will supervise PD members, monitor warranty and defect evaluations, and ensure timely delivery of PD tasks in alignment with company policies, while collaborating with OZ Heads for complex decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Engineer is an advantage but not required.
• Experience in automotive parts industry preferred.
• Ability to translate complex technical knowledge into easily understandable concepts.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; high computer literacy.

Job description

• Manage and oversee Product Develpment (PD) unit such as; market research and market info gathering with respect to product development, technical sales inquiries, warranty claims, technical seminar and trainings to internal and external customers, communication endorsements to CEO, monitor compliance of various tasks and other related activities essential to the overall performance and growth of WPD business in general and PD unit in particular.




• Supervise and assist PD members in the implementation of their day-to-day activities such as but not limited to Defective parts evaluations (DE) and warranty issues; PRD endorsements; shipment arrival inspections and other PD activities like sticker label printing, visual preparations, inventory of product samples and defective parts and reportorial activities af PD members including periodic review of file management for members convinience and easy retrieval of files and documents.




• Ensure strict compliance to deadlines and commitments of all PD members involving each assigned tasks and activities including reportorial requirements if any. Conducts proper review of all submitted tasks and activities in relation to set instructions and directives including established standard guidelines and policies of WPD. Ensure proper adherence to these guidelines and policies and act accordingly within the norms of existing company policies.




• Actively participate in the various PD technical and warranty evaluations especially acquisition of complicated tasks that requires complex technical evaluation and or defective parts analysis. Always seek consultation with OZ Heads especially in dealing with PD issues that may require complex solutions or higher level decisions.




• Oversee compliance and regular updates of the Vehicle Information Management System (VIMS) by PD members. Properly fill-in required VID data like; vehicle make, general and specific model description, engine and chassis models, year model, including displacements. Ensure accuracy of all data as these shall be integrated in the PE4 system in the future. Validate information thru various available resources like product catalogues, electronic catalogues, reliable websites and other viable materials and sources including info obtained thru customer visits.




• Oversee and consistently monitor strict compliance to deadlines of Product Development activities. Ensure accuracy of all information across PD guidelines like; market demand, the required critical measurements, technical designs, material specifications and other essential specifications. Properly identify vehicle applications and ensure proper encoding of data in the VIMS.




• Plan and supervise the periodic product knowledge training across all WPD internal and external customers. Coordinate with various OZ heads within WPD for the needed raining requirements and prepare the appropriate training materials and modules for each members. For external customers, collaborate with Sales Specialists and PD members for the needed product training and orientation of various customers nationwide. Provide the needed materials and ensure updated training modules appropriately fit for each and every customers.




• Attend and support marketing unit's activities/programs and ensure that all needed technical support and manpower requirements are provided.

QUALIFICATIONS

• With Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.




• Being a Licensed Engineer is an advantage, but not required.




• Previous research or work experience in the automotive parts industry is highly preferred.




• Ability to translate complex technical knowledge into easily understandable concepts.




• Strong oral and written communication, excellent presentation skills, and high computer literacy.




• Customer-service oriented, analytical, resourceful, and results-driven.




• Willing to work onsite in Sta. Cruz, Manila.




• Can start immediately / ASAP.
