Mechanical Engineer
About the role:
We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer who will work closely with product, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product development process, from concept and prototyping to testing and production.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the design and development of mechanical and hardware products
- Create and revise 2D/3D CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications
- Assist with product testing and validation
- Apply basic Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
- Support material selection and evaluate manufacturing processes
- Identify and help resolve design, quality, and manufacturing issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs and test reports
- Support tooling, sampling, and production readiness activities
- Review CAD files and engineering drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
- Perform detailed proof of checks of CAD drawings and models to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerances prior to tooling release, identifying discrepancies, and coordinating corrections with design engineers.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, product development, or manufacturing
- Proficiency or working knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Onshape, or similar tools
- Basic understanding of materials, mechanical design, and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with processes such as injection molding, tooling, machining, or assembly is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work a fixed night shift following a hybrid work arrangement at Silver City, Pasig
