Job summary

DM Consunji, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Supervisor to oversee procurement activities for construction projects and operations, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.

You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams, lead supplier evaluation and negotiation, and monitor costs to meet approved budgets while upholding quality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant procurement supervisory experience, preferably within construction, engineering, or infrastructure.
  • Experience in purchasing construction materials, equipment, tools, subcontracted services, and other project-related requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement planning, supplier evaluation, quotation analysis, negotiation, and purchase order management.
  • Additional training or certification in procurement, supply chain management, or contract management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Supervise purchase requisitions, RFQs, canvass sheets, POs and related documents.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Monitor costs against budgets and seek cost-saving opportunities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the procurement activities required to support construction projects and operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supplier and Vendor Management
  • Identifies, evaluates, and develops qualified suppliers, contractors, and service providers.

  • Evaluates supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance.

  • Negotiates pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions.

  • Manages supplier accreditation and ensures that vendors meet the company's technical, commercial, and compliance requirements.

Purchasing and Procurement Operations
  • Supervises the preparation and processing of purchase requisitions, requests for quotations, canvass sheets, purchase orders, and related procurement documents.

  • Reviews purchase requests to ensure accuracy, completeness, proper specifications, and appropriate approvals.

  • Ensures that purchased materials, equipment, and services comply with approved specifications and project requirements.

  • Monitors purchase orders from issuance through delivery, inspection, acceptance, and payment coordination.

Construction Project Support
  • Coordinates closely with project managers, engineers, quantity surveyors, and site teams regarding procurement requirements.

  • Ensures that construction materials, equipment, tools, and services are procured and delivered according to project schedules.

  • Monitors critical and long-lead items to minimize the risks and project delays.

Cost Control and Commercial Management
  • Monitors procurement costs against approved budgets and project cost plans.

  • Identifies opportunities for cost savings, bulk purchasing, value engineering, and alternative sourcing.

  • Negotiates favorable commercial terms while maintaining required quality and delivery standards.

  • Monitors procurement expenditures and prepares reports on cost variances and savings.

JOB QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of relevant procurement supervisory experience, preferably within construction, engineering, or infrastructure.

  • Experience in purchasing construction materials, equipment, tools, subcontracted services, and other project-related requirements.

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement planning, supplier evaluation, quotation analysis, negotiation, and purchase order management.
