Job summary

Nexaminds, a leading AI solutions company, seeks a Principal Backend Engineer to shape backend architecture from Mexico. You will define standards, mentor engineers, and drive enterprise-scale microservices with Java/Spring, Azure, and CI/CD automation.

Collaborate with product leadership and security teams to deliver secure, scalable systems across multi-environment deployments. A strong DevOps mindset and hands-on cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software development with backend focus and Java expertise.
• Architectural design of distributed microservices and API platforms using Spring ecosystem.
• Experience leading deployment workflows, blue-green/canary deployments, and enterprise config management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and evolution of scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Define and standardize CI/CD frameworks and deployment patterns across environments.
• Drive security best practices across applications and pipelines, integrating secret management.
• Oversee distributed system architecture for high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Set code quality, testing, and CI standards; conduct architecture and code reviews.
• Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Leadership, Cloud Security, and Infrastructure teams.
• Serve as escalation lead for complex technical and production issues and mentor engineers.
