Job summary

Nexaminds is seeking a Mid Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems and cloud applications. You will collaborate with senior engineers to create scalable data pipelines, integrate LLMs, and enhance security across services.

Responsibilities include developing RESTful APIs, deploying on GCP, and ensuring code quality with tests and CI/CD. Strong Java/Python skills and teamwork are essential; remote collaboration with cross-functional teams is common.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend or software engineering experience.
• Strong Java and Python backend development skills.
• Experience on Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud.
• Solid knowledge of backend architecture, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with data pipelines and scalable backend services.
• Interest or exposure to LLMs and AI/ML integration in backend apps.
• Experience using AI-assisted dev tools to boost productivity.
• Understanding of AppSec and secure coding practices.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, CI/CD, and Agile.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs on GCP.
• Build and maintain cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Support integrations with LLMs and AI-powered backends.
• Leverage GitHub Copilot and modern practices to speed delivery.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and production incidents.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in apps.
• Write clean, well-tested code following engineering standards.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous process improvements.
• Create and maintain technical docs for backend systems.
• Collaborate with product, DevOps, and cross-functional teams.
