Job summary

Black & White Engineering in Manila is seeking a Power Systems Engineer with 3–5 years experience to deliver MV and HV design support for buildings and infrastructure. You will work in our Front Office Power Systems team, ensuring technically sound outcomes for clients worldwide.

You will perform load flow, fault level, protection coordination, arc flash, and harmonic studies, building your expertise in MV/HV power systems analysis while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering.
• 3–5 years delivering power systems engineering services for buildings/infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in ETAP or equivalent power systems software, alongside AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of LV and MV power generation systems, including diesel, gas and alternative fuel prime movers.
• Sound understanding of BS and IEC standards, applicable regulations and local and international codes.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and engage confidently with external stakeholders.

Are you an electrical engineer with experience in medium and high voltage power systems, looking to develop your career on technically complex buildings and infrastructure projects?

As Power Systems Engineer at Black & White Engineering in Manila, you will provide MV and HV design support across a range of projects, working within our Front Office Power Systems team and contributing to technically sound outcomes for clients around the world.

This is a role for an engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility, develop their analytical skills and grow in a specialist discipline.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering. Postgraduate studies or training in Power Systems Engineering is an advantage.
• 3-5 years of experience delivering power systems engineering services for buildings and infrastructure projects, including small to medium-scale projects from concept through detailed design.
• Proficiency in ETAP or equivalent power systems software, alongside AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of LV and MV power generation systems, including diesel, gas and alternative fuel prime movers, and familiarity with resilient control engineering concepts.
• Sound understanding of BS and IEC standards, applicable regulations and local and international codes.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and engage confidently with external stakeholders.
