About the role
A leading industrial manufacturing firm seeks a Plant Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations at its heavy manufacturing plant. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this strategic operational role provides overall leadership across Electrical Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Mechanical Maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will ensure maximum plant equipment availability, optimize maintenance budgets, implement structured preventive maintenance programs, and uphold strict health, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
Provide overall direction and strategic leadership to the plant maintenance department, aligning operational activities with company targets and key performance indicators.
Manage and integrate multi-disciplinary teams across Mechanical, Electrical, and Preventive Maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and plant availability.
Develop, implement, and oversee routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs, standard operating procedures, and work order management systems.
Manage operating expenditures, maintenance budgets, and spare parts inventory, identifying cost-reduction opportunities to drive operational efficiency.
Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) maintenance projects, equipment replacement planning, and system redesign initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate maintenance personnel, ensuring continuous technical training, skill development, and employee engagement.
Direct major shutdown planning, emergency repairs, and technical inspections to ensure seamless, continuous production.
Enforce total compliance with local statutory regulations, environmental standards, and corporate health and safety policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (strongly preferred), Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Professional engineering license is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of maintenance management experience in continuous heavy process manufacturing, building materials, or mineral processing environments.
At least 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience leading multi-functional maintenance and engineering teams.
Extensive technical expertise in heavy industrial equipment servicing, continuous process operations, high-capacity milling systems, pyro processing/high-temperature thermal systems, and plant asset management.
Proven track record in budget control, spare parts management, CAPEX project execution, and continuous process improvement.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills within a continuous-process plant setting.
