Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with a leading organisation in the Industrial sector to hire a Maintenance Manager. This opportunity is based in Calaca, Batangas, with a Monday to Friday work schedule.
Position Overview
Lead the effective implementation of maintenance management systems, ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of critical plant equipment and assets.
Drive operational excellence through maintenance strategy, budget management, workforce development, and compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations Management
- Oversee implementation of standard maintenance procedures across all activities.
- Analyze Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance ratios and recommend corrective actions.
- Review Purchase Requisitions, technical evaluations, and contractor/supplier proposals.
- Evaluate contractor and supplier performance.
- Ensure maintenance schedules, parts availability, identified issues, and projects are properly monitored and completed.
Planning & Budget Management
- Prepare and implement the Maintenance Division's plans based on approved schedules, targets, and budgets.
- Monitor and evaluate maintenance performance against established plans.
- Ensure timely budget preparation and effective budget utilisation.
People Management & Development
- Lead staff management and development activities.
- Handle talent screening and selection, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
- Monitor the achievement of performance targets of direct reports.
EHS & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Implement EHS programmes and promote stronger safety ownership within the workplace.
- Monitor compliance and achievement of EHS plans and programmes.
Key Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Material Control, General Services, and Outage and Performance teams.
- Engage with senior management/executives, suppliers, and contractors.
- Handle coordination, technical discussions, follow-ups, meetings, proposal reviews, and supplier/contractor negotiations.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics and Communications Engineering
- At least 5 years of technical and managerial experience in the Power Generation industry.
- Experience in a Coal-Fired Power Plant is highly preferred.
- Must be a Registered Engineer, preferably:
- Mechanical Engineer (ME)
- Electrical Engineer (EE)
- Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME) and Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) certifications are an advantage.
- Preferably with 5 to 8 years of technical and managerial experience in a power generation company.
- Extensive experience in handling boilers and turbines.
Technical / Functional Expertise
- Electrical system design, specification, selection, modification, and troubleshooting.
- Engineering support for production, maintenance, and project teams.
- Mechanical equipment and systems design, specification, selection, modification, and troubleshooting.
- Life-cycle analysis of equipment and machinery.
- DCS and PLC programming, logic, and graphics.
- Instrumentation and control system design, troubleshooting, and configuration management.
- Develop reliability and maintainability systems.
- Evaluate maintenance technologies and best practices.
- Conduct equipment life-cycle analysis.
- Develop comprehensive maintenance management plans covering activities, resources, responsibilities, schedules, and risks.
- Strong expertise in maintenance operations, planning, budgeting, contractor management, and supplier evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance and regulations.
