COHECO BADEO CORPORATION seeks a Planning Engineering Manager to lead planning, scheduling, and project controls for hydropower construction, rehabilitation, and expansion projects. You will ensure EPC activities are on schedule, within budget, and compliant with technical and contractual requirements.
You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and commissioning teams, delivering weekly and monthly dashboards, and leading risk assessments and recovery planning.
The Planning Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and project controls functions for hydropower construction, rehabilitation, operation, and expansion projects. The role ensures that EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) activities are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements. The position works closely with engineering, operations, project management teams, contractors, consultants, and senior management to support the successful delivery of hydropower and renewable energy projects.
Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated project schedules for hydropower projects using industry-standard planning tools.
Manage EPC schedule development and control, ensuring engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover milestones are achieved in accordance with approved project timelines.
Establish planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and project controls procedures across all projects.
Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, delays, and resource constraints, and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
Conduct critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, recovery planning, and what-if scenario analyses to support management decision-making.
Review and evaluate contractor and subcontractor schedules, work programs, recovery plans, and progress reports for compliance with contractual requirements.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment of project activities and milestones.
Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, forecasts, and schedule performance analyses to management and project stakeholders.
Lead resource planning, manpower forecasting, and productivity monitoring to support efficient project execution.
Support project budgeting, CAPEX planning, cost forecasting, and project performance monitoring in coordination with the finance and project teams.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls.
At least 5 years of experience managing EPC projects in the hydropower, renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, or heavy construction sectors.
Proven experience in schedule development, critical path method (CPM) analysis, contractor management, and project performance reporting.
Strong expertise in EPC project planning, scheduling, and project controls.
Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), risk analysis, and project forecasting.
Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.
