Job summary

JA SMART RENERGY (THAILAND) CO., LTD in the Philippines is seeking a Philippines Solar PPA Business Development Manager to grow C&I solar and PPA opportunities. You will identify large electricity consumers and build a qualified pipeline, coordinating with internal teams.

You will develop long-term relationships with multinational companies and industrial parks, negotiate PPAs, monitor market developments, and drive new business models in the Philippine renewables sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Finance, Engineering, Energy, Economics or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy, solar PV, PPA, energy infrastructure, electricity or related industries.
• Proven experience in business development, project development, PPA, energy sales or commercial strategy.
• Experience in the Philippine renewable energy or power market is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop C&I solar and PPA business in the Philippines.
• Identify and develop opportunities with large commercial and industrial electricity consumers.
• Develop a qualified pipeline of C&I solar, PPA and renewable energy projects.
• Customer & Offtaker Development
• Identify and establish relationships with multinational companies, manufacturing plants, industrial parks and other large electricity consumers.
• Understand customers' electricity consumption, renewable energy requirements and ESG targets.
• Develop long-term relationships with key corporate customers and decision makers.
• Identify potential solar PV and renewable energy projects and assess their commercial feasibility.
• Coordinate with internal project development, engineering, finance and legal teams to evaluate project economics and execution plans.
• Support the development of C&I, utility-scale solar and BESS opportunities.
• Lead commercial discussions and negotiations with corporate customers, project developers and local partners.
• Prepare business proposals, pricing models, term sheets and preliminary project assessments.
• Drive PPA negotiations from initial customer engagement through contract signing.
• Develop relationships with local renewable energy developers, EPC companies, industrial parks, energy companies and other strategic partners.
• Monitor Philippine renewable energy policies, electricity market developments and PPA regulations.
• Identify new business models and market opportunities.
