Job summary

FGC+ is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and to support HR and compliance functions. You will review timekeeping, process payroll, maintain records, support benefits and tax requirements, and prepare HR and payroll reports.

You will coordinate with Directors, HR, Finance, and payroll providers. The role requires strong organization, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information, with willingness to work onsite in shifts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of payroll experience, preferably supporting US-based employees or organizations.
• Working knowledge of US payroll processes, including payroll processing, timekeeping, overtime, deductions, and tax requirements, is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with ability to prepare and analyze reports.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization and time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve payroll or employee-related discrepancies.
• Ability to work effectively with HR, Directors, Finance, employees, and external payroll providers.
• Willingness to work onsite, in shifting schedules, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll, obtain required approvals, and submit information to the Payroll Center.
• Review missed punches and escalation discrepancies to HR management.
• Track weekly overtime and provide KPI reports to regional HR leadership.
• Process employee raises and other approved payroll adjustments.
• Complete weekly payroll comparisons and submit reports to HR leadership.
