Job Summary
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, validation of payroll data, preparation of payroll reports, and resolution of payroll-related concerns. The role ensures compliance with company policies, government regulations, and payroll procedures while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of payroll records.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Processes and prepares accurate and timely payroll for employees and clients
- Reviews attendance, timekeeping records, overtime, holidays, leaves, incentives, and payroll inputs prior to payroll processing
- Computes salaries, deductions, adjustments, incentives, and other payroll-related transactions
- Assists in the preparation and computation of final pay, separation pay, and other employee payroll clearances
- Generates payroll reports from the payroll system including payroll registers, summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leaves, and non-taxable wages
- Monitors payroll discrepancies and assists in resolving payroll concerns and payroll account variances
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of payroll data and employee payroll records
- Maintains confidentiality and security of payroll files, payroll databases, and employee information
- Coordinates with HR, Operations, and Accounting regarding payroll concerns and payroll requirements
- Assists in payroll audits, payroll reconciliations, and government compliance requirements
- Supports payroll process improvements and payroll system updates
- Provides assistance and guidance to employees regarding payroll-related concerns
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in payroll processing or payroll administration
- Knowledgeable in payroll systems, Microsoft Excel, and payroll reporting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling payroll information
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet payroll deadlines
- Detail-oriented and highly accurate in handling payroll computations
