Job summary

Genfinity is seeking a Payroll Officer to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain records, and generate reports for management. The role requires compliance with statutory requirements and EBAs, with a focus on AU/NZ payroll considerations.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and 2–4 years’ payroll experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail. This position involves collaboration with Payroll, Finance, and HR teams to deliver high-quality payroll services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of payroll processing experience, preferably Australian/NZ payroll.
• Knowledge of Australian and/or New Zealand payroll legislation, EBAs, and awards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time, including payroll calculations, leave administration, and data maintenance.
• Validate payroll information, timesheets, and employee records for compliance with awards, EBAs, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare payroll reports, analyze data, and assist in resolving discrepancies and inquiries.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of payroll records and support audits and documentation.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, HR, and stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and compliance.
