Job summary

Ubiquity is seeking a Payroll Specialist in the Philippines to manage end-to-end payroll, timekeeping consolidation, and leave tracking. The role includes preparing 2316s, final pay for resignations, and coordinating government remittances monthly, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

You will work closely with HR and Finance, handle payroll inquiries, and stay updated on payroll regulations to support a customer-first culture in a dynamic, service-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Experience processing payroll for a BPO or Shared Services company (1–2 years).
• In-depth knowledge in manual tax computation, overtime, night differential, holiday premiums.
• Intensive experience in processing BIR annualization.
• Understand dependencies between HR and Finance departments.
• Must stay updated with Payroll regulations and country rules.
• Must have a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing.
• Consolidate Timekeeping Reports from multiple departments.
• Track employee leaves and absences.
• Prepare 2316 and final pay for resignations.
• Generate payroll reports, journal entries, and funding requirements.
• Resolve payroll queries and disputes proactively.
• Prepare user manuals for employee use.
• Handle government remittances (HDMF, PhilHealth, SSS) and loan processing monthly.
• Reconcile year-to-date income and prepare Alpha listing for BIR submissions.
• Prepare Alphalist and liaise with BIR for year tax annualization documents.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
• Conduct payroll orientation for new hires.

What You’ll Do:

• In-charge of end-to-end payroll processing.
• Consolidate Timekeeping Reports from different departments.
• In - charge in tracking the leaves of employees.
• Prepares 2316 and Final Pay computation for the resigned employees.
• Prepares payroll reports, journal entries, funding requirements and other needed reports that will be requested by the Finance team.
• Investigate and resolve payroll queries and accommodate payroll disputes ahead of time.
• Prepares user manual for employee use.
• In – charge in processing of Government statutory such as HDMF, Philhealth and SSS Remittances and Loans every month.
• Reconciliate year to date income and prepare the Alpha listing report to be submitted to BIR.
• With in depth knowledge in manual computation of tax, overtime, night differential etc.
• Intensive experience in processing of BIR annualization.
• Prepared Alphalist and liaised to the BIR for submission of Year Tax annualization related documents.
• Attend inquiries of the employees regarding Payroll and benefits.
• Conduct payroll orientation for new hires.
• Understand the dependencies that exist within the HR and Finance department.
• Identify and propose solutions for process improvements.
• Assist with special projects, as requested.

What We’re Looking For:

• Has an experience processing payroll for a BPO or Shared Services Company for 1-2 years.
• With in-depth knowledge in manual computation of tax, overtime, night differential, holiday premiums, and/ or time-based deductions etc.
• Intensive experience in processing of BIR annualization.
• Understand the dependencies that exist within the HR and Finance department.
• Must be updated with Payroll Regulations and Information of the country
