Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist in the Philippines to manage end-to-end payroll operations with an outsourced provider. The role ensures timely, accurate payroll delivery while complying with local laws and internal policies.

You will collaborate with HR and Finance, handle employee inquiries, support reconciliations, and maintain data integrity in HRIS. Strong Excel/Sheets and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of payroll operations experience, including collaboration with outsourced payroll providers.
• Solid knowledge of labor laws, personal income tax, and statutory requirements.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables, reconciliation tools); familiarity with Apps Script.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the complete payroll cycle (bi-weekly/monthly) with an outsourced payroll provider.
• Prepare, validate, and consolidate payroll inputs (attendance, variable pay, statutory deductions, lifecycle changes).
• Review payroll calculations, preview reports, and statutory summaries for accuracy before approval.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, social security, provident fund contributions, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.
• Manage employee inquiries and escalations regarding payroll, tax, and benefits.
• Support payroll-related reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of payroll data in HRIS and payroll systems.
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external audits; liaise with auditors as required.
• Identify process gaps and automation opportunities to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency.
• Stay up to date with legal changes and industry best practices related to payroll.
