Job summary

Bicol Isarog Transport is seeking an HR Payroll Officer to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for drivers, conductors, mechanics, dispatchers, and office staff. The role requires strict adherence to Philippine labor laws and tax regulations while maintaining confidentiality of payroll data.

The position covers compensation and benefits administration, government reporting, and final pay computations for separated employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in HR, accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• At least 23 years of experience in payroll processing and compensation & benefits.
• Knowledge of Philippine labor laws, taxation, and statutory contributions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, HRIS, and payroll systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy with confidential information.
• Experience in transportation or logistics is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for all employees including drivers, conductors, mechanics, dispatchers, and office staff.
• Validate attendance, overtime, holiday pay, night differential, leaves, and other inputs.
• Compute salaries, allowances, incentives, and deductions.
• Process statutory deductions such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding tax.
• Prepare payroll summaries, reports, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Finance for payroll funding and release.
• Ensure payroll complies with company policies and Philippine labor regulations.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs.
• Monitor and remit government-mandated contributions and loan payments.
• Process benefits claims and manage enrollments for benefits (HMO, insurance, allowances).
• Assist in salary reviews and compensation structure implementation.
• Prepare monthly/annual government reports and DOLE-related submissions.
• Compute final pay for separated employees and related obligations.
• Coordinate clearance and final pay release; prepare COE and exit documents.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and confidentiality of payroll data.
• Generate payroll/compensation reports and archive supporting documents.
• Respond to employee inquiries and assist during payroll audits/inspections.
