Job summary

ConnectOS is seeking a Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll processing on a weekly or fortnightly basis. You will ensure compliance with superannuation, PAYG withholding, payroll tax, and deductions, while maintaining records and responding to queries.

You will work with the Senior Accounts & Payroll Officer to support payroll operations and prepare year-end reporting. Hybrid setup and benefits are provided at the Mega Tower, EDSA, Metro Manila.

Qualifications

• Experience as Payroll Officer or similar role.
• Experience with Pronto or similar payroll systems.
• Knowledge of Australian payroll requirements (PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax).
• Excellent Excel skills and payroll data handling.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.

What You’ll Do

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing on a weekly or fortnightly basis, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• Ensure payroll compliance, including superannuation, PAYG withholding, payroll tax, and employee deductions.
• Maintain accurate records of employee details, payroll transactions, and related documentation.
• Respond to payroll queries and manage the payroll email inbox professionally and promptly.
• Prepare year-end payroll reporting and submissions in line with applicable requirements.
• Work closely with the Senior Accounts & Payroll Officer to support payroll operations and undertake other duties as required.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience as a Payroll Officer, Accounts Officer, or in a similar role.
• Experience using Pronto software or similar payroll and accounting systems
• Knowledge of Australian payroll requirements, including PAYG withholding, superannuation, and payroll tax.
• Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with payroll databases.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet strict payroll deadlines.

Desirable

• Formal qualifications in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
• Experience in the mining and resources industry.
