Job summary

TOA Global Pty is seeking a Payroll Officer to support end-to-end Australian payroll operations from Clark, Philippines. You will manage weekly pay runs, interpret EBAs and Modern Awards, perform STP lodgments, and handle month-end and year-end reconciliations for a medium-to-large workforce.

The role offers onsite, full-time hours in Clark with a daytime shift, reporting to the Payroll Manager. You will collaborate with global teams and contribute to accurate payroll processing and regulatory

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll processing experience in medium-to-large workforces.
• Experience interpreting Australian Modern Awards and EBAs.
• Proficient with STP lodgments and Australian payroll compliance.
• Strong Excel and payroll systems skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Payroll Processing: execute weekly pay runs in line with contracts, EBAs, and Awards.
• STP & Statutory Compliance: lodge STP reports and handle payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG, Child Support, and state funds.
• Employee Lifecycle & Records: onboard new hires, process terminations, maintain files, and handle payroll inquiries.
• Month-End & Executive Reporting: prepare monthly leave reports and year-end reconciliations.

We are seeking a detail-driven, experienced Payroll Officer to support end-to-end Australian payroll operations. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will manage weekly pay runs, interpret complex Modern Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs), execute Single Touch Payroll (STP) lodgments, and perform month-end and year-end statutory reconciliations for medium-to-large workforce operations.

Your Impact

• End-to-End Payroll Processing: Ensure the timely and accurate execution of weekly pay runs in strict alignment with employment contracts, EBAs, Modern Awards, and company policies.
• STP & Statutory Compliance: Lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) reports to the ATO for each pay cycle; process payroll tax, superannuation contributions, PAYG reporting, Child Support deductions, and state portable long service leave (e.g., Coinvest, TasBuild, SA & WA funds).
• Employee Lifecycle & Records: Set up new hires, process termination calculations, maintain complete personal files, process manual adjustments, and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a professional and confidential manner.
• Month-End & Executive Reporting: Run monthly leave reports for finance teams, compile weekly headcount summaries, assist in preparing monthly Board Pack reports, and complete year-end reconciliations and ATO finalizations.

What You Bring

• The Experience: 5+ years of solid experience in payroll processing, with a focus on managing medium-to-large workforces. Proven background interpreting Australian Modern Awards, Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs), and contracts.
• Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with computerized enterprise payroll software (e.g., PayGlobal, PeopleSoft, ADP, Pronto, JD Edwards) alongside intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Australian Regulatory Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of Australian industrial relations, taxation rules, superannuation laws, and state/federal statutory reporting cycles.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, high organizational capacity for competing priorities, and excellent written and verbal English communication.
