Acquire Intelligence is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations for an Australian healthcare network from our PH hub. This hands-on leadership role oversees a small local team, maintains payroll systems, drives process improvements, and ensures compliance with Australian payroll legislation and reporting requirements.

• Provide payroll insights and reporting to support business decisions and employee experience initiatives.
• Lead and support the local PH Payroll Team (Payroll Officer and HR Admin).
• Drive payroll process improvements and optimize system workflows.
• Remain hands-on with payroll operations and complete full pay runs when required.
• Provide coverage during the Payroll Officer's absence.

Join Acquire Intelligence as a Payroll Manager supporting payroll operations for one of Australia's growing healthcare networks.

This is a hands-on payroll leadership role responsible for overseeing payroll operations, supporting a small local payroll team, maintaining payroll systems, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation and reporting requirements.

You'll act as the payroll subject matter expert while remaining actively involved in payroll processing, audits, system administration, and payroll projects.

YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support payroll projects related to Australian legislation, awards, taxation, superannuation, and compliance requirements
• Ensure payroll processes remain compliant with Australian payroll regulations
• Support internal and external audits and payroll reporting requirements
• Provide payroll insights and reporting to support business decisions and employee experience initiatives
• Manage and maintain Employment Hero and KeyPay platforms
• Lead and support the local PH Payroll Team (Payroll Officer and HR Admin)
• Drive payroll process improvements and optimize system workflows
• Act as escalation point for payroll-related concerns and issues
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure payroll operations run efficiently
• Remain hands-on with payroll operations and complete full pay runs when required
• Provide coverage during the Payroll Officer's absence

A BIT ABOUT YOU

• Amenable to a hybrid set up: 3 days onsite in Eastwood, Quezon City and 2 days WFH.
• Experience managing end-to-end Australian payroll operations, including compliance, reporting, and payroll processing
• Leadership experience in a payroll environment, with the ability to support and guide team members while ensuring payroll deadlines and compliance requirements are met
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Awards, PAYG, STP, Superannuation, and Payroll Tax
• Experience using Employment Hero and/or KeyPay
• Experience handling payroll reporting, audits, and compliance requirements
• Strong payroll reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to payroll accuracy
• Comfortable working in a hands-on payroll environment
