Job summary

SMC Integrated Merchandising Services Inc. (SMCIMSI) is seeking an Area HR Assistant to support payroll, timekeeping, compensation, and employee benefits.

This role ensures accuracy of payroll documents, coordinates with Payroll on timekeeping, and assists with benefit processing and statutory remittances. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related fields, demonstrates confidentiality, and communicates effectively across all levels.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of government-mandated benefits, loans, and related processes is an advantage.
• Customer service-oriented with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accuracy and completeness of payroll-related documents (DTRs, leave forms, overtime, official business slips) before submission to Payroll.
• Coordinates payroll and timekeeping concerns with the Payroll Team.
• Facilitates updates to employee payroll records and mandatory documents (e.g., BIR 2305).
• Ensures timely distribution of employee pay slips.
• Processes company-initiated employee benefits in accordance with company policies.
• Facilitates and monitors government-mandated benefit claims, including SSS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, ECC, maternity, sickness, and insurance benefits.
• Coordinates with the Compensation and Benefits Team to ensure accurate remittances and benefit processing.
• Assists employees with compensation, payroll, and benefits-related inquiries and concerns.
