About the role

Asticom Technology Inc is seeking a Payroll Analyst Jr to join our dynamic accounting team. This is a contract position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll processing whilst contributing to the efficiency and compliance of our payroll operations. As a junior member of the payroll team, you will work under the guidance of senior payroll professionals to develop your expertise in payroll management and gain valuable experience in this specialised field.

What you'll be doing

• Processing employee payroll information, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses and deductions with precision and attention to detail
• Verifying payroll data accuracy prior to processing to ensure all employee records are correct and up to date
• Reconciling payroll accounts and identifying discrepancies between payroll records and supporting documentation
• Maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive employee payroll information in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Assisting with the preparation and distribution of payslips and payroll reports to employees and management
• Supporting compliance with local payroll tax regulations, statutory deductions and reporting requirements
• Responding to employee payroll enquiries and resolving payroll-related issues in a timely and professional manner
• Updating and maintaining payroll records, employee files and related documentation
• Assisting with month-end and year-end payroll closing procedures

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Foundational knowledge of payroll processing, accounting principles and Philippine payroll regulations
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with payroll software systems
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with numerical data
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Professional communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and employees
• Understanding of data confidentiality and information security best practices
• Familiarity with BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) requirements and Philippine tax compliance is advantageous
• Willingness to learn and develop payroll expertise with guidance from senior team members
