Job summary

Metrobank in Taguig City is seeking a Payments Specialist to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments, including verification from multiple channels and posting to beneficiary accounts. The role requires collaboration with Treasury, Compliance, and Accounting teams to resolve issues and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include handling PESONet/PDDTS RTGS flows, posting via Mosaic, preparing daily/monthly reports, and maintaining effective communication with branches.

Qualifications

• Preferably graduate of business or finance course.
• Fresh graduates and young professionals are welcome to apply.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high sense of order and attention to detail.
• Proficient in essential Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc).
• Can work independently or as part of the team.
• Amenable to work on shifting schedules, holidays, graveyard shifts and split offs.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely processing of payments transactions to facilitate immediate release or posting to beneficiaries.
• Verify/process payments from foreign/domestic branches, HO units, subsidiaries and tie-ups via PESONet, PDDTS, RTGS-USD.
• Upload rates provided by Treasury Group and prepare required daily and monthly reports.
• Send tracers for errors, discrepancies, or funding issues with payment files and inward payments concerns.
• Coordinate with Accounting and other units to resolve unreconciled items and float items.
• Prepare accounting entries for manually processed transactions and post payments via Mosaic.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and participate in policy development.
