Stretch Distribution Inc. (SDI) is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead daily warehouse activities, optimize inventory, and enforce SOPs for safety and efficiency.

You will supervise staff, manage equipment, and drive KPIs like on-time delivery and accuracy, while coordinating with clients and partners to resolve issues and improve operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in warehouse or distribution centre operations management.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale warehouse operations and teams.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing systems, WMS and inventory software.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations for warehouse ops.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on continuous improvement.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting using relevant software.
• Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration.
• Knowledge of logistics, supply chain management and distribution best practices.
• Relevant qualifications in operations management advantageous.
• Familiarity with safety management systems and ISO standards preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Monitor and optimise inventory levels with accurate stock management.
• Implement and maintain SOPs for efficiency, consistency and safety compliance.
• Supervise warehouse staff: scheduling, training, performance management.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and machinery for safety and uptime.
• Develop and monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery and order accuracy.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulations are followed; conduct safety audits.
• Coordinate with clients, logistics partners and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Analyze data to identify process improvements and cost reductions.
• Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatching of goods

• Monitor and optimise inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock management and minimising discrepancies

• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, efficiency and compliance with safety regulations

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, performance management and development

• Manage warehouse equipment and machinery maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and safety

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time delivery and cost efficiency

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and conduct regular safety audits and training

• Liaise with clients, logistics partners and internal departments to resolve operational issues and optimise service delivery

• Analyse operational data and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction

• Prepare reports on operational performance and present findings to senior management

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in warehouse or distribution centre operations management

• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale warehouse operations and teams

• Strong knowledge of warehousing systems, inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS)

• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement

• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with experience using relevant software applications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments

• Knowledge of logistics, supply chain management and distribution best practices

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in operations management, warehouse operations or related fields are advantageous

• Familiarity with safety management systems and certifications (such as ISO standards) is preferred
