Job summary

Smartsourcing in Cebu City is seeking a full-time onsite Finance Generalist with a payroll focus to manage weekly pay runs and the wider transactional finance cycle. You will collaborate with the onshore Finance team and an offshore colleague to ensure records are complete, compliant, and delivered on time.

The role requires 1–5 years in accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with Xero or AU payroll tools. A detail‑driven, proactive mindset will help you excel in this environment.

Qualifications

• Payroll processing experience with weekly pay runs.
• 1–5 years in transactional finance (AP/AR, journals, reconciliations).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce preferred.
• Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems and AU Payroll tools.
• Strong detail orientation and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Handle payroll processing and weekly pay runs, including loadings and adjustments.
• Manage payroll inbox, approvals, and queries with timely responses.
• Oversee AP/AR tasks, supplier statements, and weekly invoicing.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support BAS and statutory returns; contribute to process improvements.
