Job summary

MedSpecialized, Inc. in Cebu City seeks an Offshore Accountant to perform bookkeeping, tax prep, and financial analysis, outsourced to clients.

Work is 11:00 PM–8:00 AM PHT, full-time in-office at 8th floor Skyrise 4B Building, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, month- and year-end close, GL maintenance, bank reconciliations, AP/AR, variance analysis, client liaison, and tax support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience with exposure to full accounting cycle, month-end closing, QuickBooks, and client-facing responsibilities.
• Knowledge of US tax regulations and accounting practices is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger by recording financial transactions, accruals, and journal entries.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collections.
• Analyze financial accounts, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to address accounting inquiries and provide financial support.
• Assist with tax-related documentation and compliance activities as needed.
• Support process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operation
