Job summary

Home Credit Philippines is seeking an IT Operations Observability Engineer to ensure smooth operation of IT infrastructure through proactive monitoring and data-driven insights. You will build dashboards, configure alerts, investigate incidents, and collaborate with teams to sustain high uptime.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in IT operations or similar with monitoring/observability focus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Eagerness to learn and adapt with observability tools
• Knowledge of ITIL v3 processes
• Scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, Go)
• Understanding of distributed tracing and containerized environments
• Familiarity with incident response methodologies and best practices
• Experience with Splunk or other monitoring systems
• Expertise with Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Jaeger or similar tools
• Experience with cloud observability platforms (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor)
• Knowledge of security monitoring practices

Responsibilities

• Design and implement monitoring systems with metrics, logs, and traces across networks, apps, and servers
• Create dashboards that translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders
• Configure intelligent alerts to enable proactive issue prevention
• Investigate incidents and diagnose root causes for efficient resolution
• Stay current with observability tools and evolving practices
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize system performance and promote observability
• Produce detailed root cause and findings reports for knowledge sharing
• Ensure ongoing effectiveness and accuracy of monitoring dashboards
• Support incident response and uphold high uptime standards
• Perform related duties as assigned
